Because snapshots are executed in the background, they can be monitored using the Snapshots window and terminated if required.

To stop an executing snapshot:

• From the Object Compare main menu, select View -> Snapshots Window.
• The Snapshots window will appear docked in the main window, with status information for the currently executing snapshots.
• Right click the snapshot you wish to terminate and select Stop Snapshot from the context menu.
• Respond Yes to the Cancel dialog.

The background process is notified of the termination signal and within a few seconds the snapshot will be stopped. The Snapshot window will display the snapshot as finished. 

Note: This action does not delete the snapshot, it will be left in a partially completed state. For information on how to delete snapshots, see the section on organizing snapshots listed below.
