How to: Organize snapshots |
As your list of snapshots grow, you can organize them by using the Organize Snapshots
dialog. The dialog allows you to find snapshots by sorting the list by name, size,
date taken and path. From here, you can view the properties of snapshots and delete
them.
To sort snapshots:
- From the Object Compare main menu, select Snapshots -> Organize Snapshots.
- In the Organize Snapshots dialog single click one of the columns
(either name, size, date taken or path).
- The snapshot list is automatically sorted by the selected column.
To view the properties of a snapshot:
- From the Object Compare main menu, select Snapshots -> Organize Snapshots.
- In the Organize Snapshots dialog select the snapshot of interest
by single clicking with the mouse.
- Right click the snapshot and select Properties from the context menu.
- The Property Viewer dialog appears displaying the object properties of the snapshot.
To delete snapshots:
- From the Object Compare main menu, select Snapshots -> Organize Snapshots.
- In the Organize Snapshots dialog select the snapshot of interest
by single clicking with the mouse.
- To select multiple snapshots, hold down the Ctrl or Shift
keys while single clicking with the mouse.
- Right click the selection and select Delete from the context menu.
- Respond Yes to the Delete dialog to delete the
snapshots.
Note: Any snapshots deleted that belong to existing workspaces
will render the workspace unusable the next time the workspace is opened. Object
Compare will prompt you for a new selection if the snapshot cannot be found.
